Thursday 4 July is the Launch for all Full Festival Ticket holders followed by Plays in a Pub@Holohans. We will see 2018 Billy Roche International Short Play Award Winner and two other shortlisted plays and local and fabulous blues singer Declan Byrne. Ticketed. Short Story Award; Anthony Cronin Int. Poetry Award; Billy Roche Int. Short Play Award, Eileen Gray Window Display Award where we will watch the reading of the four shortlisted 2019 plays. Judges decide who wins on the night! An event for Full Festival Ticket required. Saturday 6 July: Workshops include the Underground Society Creative Writing lead by three Irish Best Selling Authors: Shane Dunphy, Caroline Busher and Sheila Forsey; Pig's Toes & Handbags Poetry Workshop with Award Winning poet and 2019 Judge, Margaret Galvin. Relish Cursed Murphy & The Resistance in a fabulous evening of Spoken Word. Ticketed. Sunday 7 July is a focus on Film and Drama Workshop: Scripting for Film with outstanding Irish filmmaker, Imelda O'Reilly. Ticketed. Be active churning butter as the leader Manchán Magan bakes bread during his bi-lingual play Arám & I'm ( yes, you get to hear Irish from a native speaker!) Ticketed. Have fun in the Park with "Cool Hand Ukes" ... hear the traditional Hawaiian ukelele . A FREE event from 13.15 - 14:00. " In Conversation With" nationally outstanding filmmakers Emer Martin & Helena Mulkerns; Peter Murphy (aka Cursed Murphy) and guests; Imelda O'Reilly & Fintan Kelly including a short film viewing.
