Tour O'Hanlon Herbs to learn about herbs and how to grow them then to Ballyknocken Cookery School to enjoy a hands on class showing how to make the most of your recipes using herbs. Followed by a delicious lunch and sample to take home.
This is a unique opportunity to visit Ireland’s largest and most renowned herb grower, O'Hanlon Herbs, which also coincidentally happens to be the neighbouring farm to Ballyknocken in the village of Glenealy. You will enjoy a tour and learn how herbs are produced from seed to pot to supermarket. You’ll learn all about the ordinary and the extraordinary of the herb world - truly fascinating.
Then return to Ballyknocken Cookery School, where you will be welcomed with a tea, lemon balm scones and blueberry and lavender jam.
Then it’s aprons on and you will learn how to use herbs to enhance your dishes.
Make a delicious light lunch for everyone to enjoy and some herb and edible flower butter to take home
