Over 90% of the music is free of charge and the four-day event includes street bands, workshops, master classes and a jazz parade.
The festival attracts 45,000 fans from all over Ireland, Britain, Europe and the USA, many of whom extend their visit to take in the many attractions of the city, from Blarney Castle to Kinsale, the Titanic Exhibition in Cobh and beautiful West Cork.
Having hosted many of the legends of jazz over its 37-year history - Ella Fitzgerald, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, and Dianne Reeves are just a few - Guinness Cork Jazz is one of Europe's top jazz festivals and continues to go from strength to strength.
