A unique festival celebrating all that is traditional and folk music in Ireland. Join us for the 2nd Quiet Lights festival from the 22nd - 24th November 2019 across various venues in Cork City.
Islander are delighted to announce the second installment of Quiet Lights. Once again in Cork City, this time in November 2019, the headliners include Peter Broderick, Lankum, Rozi Plain, Ye Vagabonds & Brighde Chaimbuel, as well as Junior Brother, Cormac Begley & Liam O'Connor & much more!
Quiet Lights is a unique and new little festival with a big heart, embarking on its second year upon the Lee. Shining lights on the new wave of Irish folk and traditional talent is our modus operandi, but there are lots of different styles of music represented in this year’s programme. All of them musicians at various stages of their careers that are quietly making waves, forging new paths, recollecting old tales and making new stories.
This unique happening will begin life on the streets of Cork city over the course of a weekend in November, where music from the heart and for the soul will fill the city's nooks, crannies, chapels, bars and more. Islander hope you can join them in the southern city for a bit of warmth when the evenings are dark, and Autumn's grip loosens to Winter. It will be something quite different.
More information on the events & artists involved over the weekend is available on the Quiet Lights website www.quietlights.net
